OUR STORY

Karin Drescher is from Germany and first came to South Africa with “Youth With A Mission”. She has been working with children and families from Masiphumelele since 2009. In the course of her work, she recognised a particular need for educational and family support and founded Clever Kids Homework Centre in Masiphumelele. It was established in 2015 with a handful of volunteers and only 7 children. Due to the great interest within the community, Clever Kids has grown from a project for a small number of primary school students to a programme that now covers the entire school age range.
