THE TEAM
Our team consists of over 10 employees, self-employed people and volunteers. The majority of our employees live in Masiphumelele themselves and are therefore familiar with the location, the community and the living conditions of our children. The linguistic and cultural familiarity that this brings is very beneficial for our children and contributes to the family atmosphere in our centre, which we at Clever Kids value so highly.
The learning groups are each assigned to one or two tutors, who teach the children, monitor their progress and also keep an eye on the children's personal concerns. Kitchen staff are also very important to us - they arrive before everyone else and prepare nutritious meals for our children and serve them. Before the children arrive, the whole team works together to keep the house clean and tidy, prepare the rooms, bring in the large amounts of shopping and take care of everything that needs to be done that day. In our daily team meetings, we discuss organisational and pedagogical issues, but we also pray for the children, the day and personal challenges.
Our volunteers are a great blessing for us - we have temporary and permanent volunteers who come once or several times a week to support us in various areas. If you are interested in volunteering at Clever Kids or simply want to get an insight into our work for a few weeks, please contact us.
